Inspiration Is A Funny Thing

Inspiration is a funny thing. I try to harness it when it is convenient for me: While I sit at my desk at work; while I read the news in Flipboard during breakfast; while I stare at a blank sheet of paper or empty blog post late at night. At those times it is elusive. Inspiration ultimately finds me when it so desires, at odd times: While I am in the shower with nary a notepad in sight; while I am walking with my wife and infant son on Saturday morning (again, ne'er a writing mechanism in sight); while I am in mental repose, falling asleep.

Lately it has been hitting me as I window-shop the candy-coated catnip carnival known as Pinterest.
